During my visit in May, I was able to see for the first time the full effect of the grassseeding and the gravelling of the paths. It all looks a lot tidier, but it will be much work for the guardian Mr. Trager, to keep the grass surrounds of more than 1000 graves in good order. He now has a special machine to help him achieve this.

The restoration of the gravestones continues, the city is providing 40 bronze tablets every year, to be affixed to headstones, where erosion has destroyed the inscriptions.
